Al detective privado Eddie, un cliente le pide que le ayude a convencer a su esposa para que lo deje en paz. Lo sorprendente es que la mujer hace 10 años que murió. Eddie cree que éste sera un caso fácil y lucrativo, pero el problema es que acaba enamorándose de la mujer a la que sigue e insiste en que no se trata de un fantasma.
